Heartgaps

Heartgaps

She said she loved me, that’s why we should take it slow
My heart on fire buried underneath the snow
It was simple things
Like how she woke up when the sun came up, and stretched out all her toes

By now she’s halfway around the world I suppose
I hope shes careful on those god damn icy roads
It was the little things
Like how I kept her bottles in the shower, if ever she comes home

I was living in make believe
Break my heart quickly please
If there’s any light, if there’s anything like
What we had, baby come back

I said I loved her, and that she should do what’s best
My tears they choked me and they took away my breath
I won’t forget
How she looked back in her side view mirror before she finally left

And then I put back all the pieces to my heart
I wish she’d sent me back all the little parts
To close the gaps
I couldn’t figure this out on my own, without her clever hands

I was living in make believe
Break my heart quickly please
If there’s any light, if there’s anything like
What we had, baby come back

It’d been some seasons since I tossed the photographs
I was doing fine though my heart still has the cracks
It was dark inside
Until that day you passed me on the street and looked into my eyes

I swear I saw beginning, middle, and the end
And for the first time, the light came from within
And suddenly
I was thankful for the cracks she left, so I could share the light I had

With you

I'll share the light I have with you

Firefly

Firefly, remind of summertime
Remind me of late July
When we sat out
With nothing to do

Firefly, bright under the moonless sky
Give my heart a break tonight
Won’t you call me
Just to say hello

Where did you, where did you go?
I have been waiting for you to come home
Where did you, where did you go, baby?
I am lost without you, girl, you’ll always be my light, my firefly

Firefly, your beauty shines straight through the night
You make me lose track of the time
Until daybreak
When we fall asleep

Girl I know, that it was some time ago
But I still feel I know your soul
And you know mine
It’s so worth the fight

Where did you, where did you go?
I have been waiting for you to come home
Where did you, where did you go, baby?
I am lost without you, girl, you’ll always be my light, my firefly

Firefly, remind of summertime
Remind me of late July
At the ocean
Our toes in the sand

I wonder why, it was you who caught my eye
And made me feel oh so alive
And then told me
We could never be

Never Call

Written by Dean Palya Jr, BMI

Never Call

Waiting on your words but you never call
Waiting on your kiss but you're never around
I can't let myself fall any deeper in this hell
Honey, are you mine, are you just playing games with my head?

Why do you never call me?
Why do you never call me?

I'm waiting on your love like it's all I need
The days are so much shorter than they seem
The night is just unbearable, you're driving me histarical
Honey, are you mine, are you just playing games with my soul?

Because you never call
Why do you never call me?

Every scene I see
Every memomry
Reminds me of the things that I could show you
Reminds me of the ways that I could know you

Waiting on your time, but you're giving nothing
I'm giving up, honey, won't you just give me something
I can't let myself fall any deeper in the hell
Are you mine, are you just playing games with my head?

Why do you never call me?
Why do you never call me?

Intertwine

Intertwine

If I had one breath left to spend
I’d go to you and take your hand
And tell you that I wouldn’t have
Spent my days any other way than with you

If I took you for granted babe
And let you feel like I could walk away
Then leave me here in misery
As I try to bring myself to ever want to breathe again
I need you

I’ll give you all of me
I’ll be the best that I can be

I know I’m not perfect babe
But I promise I’ll try every day
To make you smile and make you laugh
And wipe your tears and hold your hand
And share my soul with yours, and yours with mine
And give you all of me and intertwine

If I told you I missed the way
You kissed me for no reason babe
And all I need you to understand
Is I can't live a day without you baby

I’ll give you all of me
I’ll be the best that I can be

I know I’m not perfect babe
But I promise I’ll try every day
To make you smile and make you laugh
And wipe your tears and hold your hand
And share my soul with yours, and yours with mine
And give you all of me and intertwine

I'll intertwine

Falling

Written and Produced by Dean Palya Jr, BMI

Falling

Heads on a pillow, feet are dangling
The air so thin
My body shaking, swaying in the wind
Push me in, I'm on the edge, I'm ready to begin

Breathing deep and slow
Losing all control
All I know is I have to jump, because you are all I really want
There's something just too beautiful about falling, falling you for

I'm falling for you

Open my eyes as you look into mine
I don't feel time
You take a breath and close your eyes again
I can't pretend I'm not on the edge, I'm ready to begin

Breathing deep and slow
Losing all control
All I know is I have to jump, because you are all I really want
There's something just too beautiful about falling, falling you for

I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you

If I jump, will you jump too?
Cause I could lie here forever, falling next to you
I will jump, I'll jump for you
So I could lie here forever, falling next to you

Breathing deep and slow
Losing all control
All I know is I have to jump, because you are all I really want
There's something just too beautiful about falling, falling you for

I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you
I'm falling for you

Extraordinary

Extraordinary

I'm broken all my pieces on the floor
I've put myself together once before
But something tells me this won't be as easy as before
Before I knew you, 'cause I'm forever into you

Honey I feel something deep in my bones
It's the way that you make me lose control, it's the way that you make me lose control
I think we are making a mistake by letting go, I think that you're losing yourself
You've got to know, this is not just ordinary - this is not just ordinary

At least I have my memories to keep
At least you're in my dreams when I sleep
I feel like you don't know what we had, you don't know what we could be
Baby I'm sorry - you've just got to hear me out

Honey I feel something deep in my bones
It's the way that you make me lose control, it's the way that you make me lose control
I think we are making a mistake by letting go, I think that you're losing yourself
You've got to know, this is not just ordinary - this is not just ordinary

What could I do to convince you to stay
What could I do to convince you to be here with me

Who you taking on them long beach walks with you?
Who you telling 'bout your day, what's he telling to you?
Did you tell him that thing that you told me you never told nobody?
I wanted that to just be me and you

Yeah - this is extraordinary
Yeah - this is extraordinary

Honey I feel something deep in my bones
It's the way that you make me lose control, it's the way that you make me lose control
I think we are making a mistake by letting go, I think that you're losing yourself
You've got to know, this is not just ordinary - this is extraordinary
